titleOfInvention Method for determining content of synthetic dyes in beverages
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used to determine synthetic dyes E124 (Crimson 4R), E102 (Tartrazine), E133 (Brilliant blue FCF) and E122 (Carmoisine) in beverages at their analytical control in food industry, and also in consumer product testing laboratories. Method for determining content of synthetic dyes in beverages, including the contact of an extractant with a sample, separating the extractant from a solution, and estimating concentration of the dye. As an extractant, a transparent polymethylmethacrylate plate is used, and the plate is introduced into the beverage sample, after contact with the sample for at least 5 minutes, spectrophotometric measurement of its light absorption is carried out at a wavelength corresponding to the maximum absorption of each dye. Concentration of the dye is estimated according to the graphical dependence of the dye concentration on the light absorption of the polymethylmethacrylate plate, previously constructed according to the known concentrations of the dye solution. n EFFECT: reduced time of analysis. n 1 cl, 1 dwg, 4 tbl
