Infant formula includes a protein composition containing 3.2-5.0 g of threonine per 100 g protein, 0.7-1.1 g of tryptophan per 100 g protein. Ratio of tryptophan to the sum of all neutral amino acids isoleucine, leucine, valine, phenylalanine, tyrosine and methionine in the protein composition is in the range of 0.030 to 0.025.
