abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically a device for dispensing a haemostatic paste under pressure, a method for applying a haemostatic paste to a bleeding site, and a method for making the device. Device comprises a container having an interior space including a product compartment and a propellant compartment separated from each other. Container has a first end with an outlet for the haemostatic paste, extending from the product compartment. Outlet is configured to open and close. Device includes a valve communicating with the first end of the product compartment. Device includes a haemostatic paste contained in the product compartment. Paste has a viscosity in the range of 500-6000 Pa⋅s at room temperature. Device comprises a propellant provided in the propellant compartment. Device includes a movable piston separating the product compartment from the propellant compartment. Method for applying a haemostatic paste to a bleeding site comprises providing the device, attaching a foldable or unbending and / or cutting tip to the device, actuating the valve to dispense a haemostatic paste from the device, and directing the haemostatic paste to the bleeding site. Method of making the device comprises providing a device, providing a haemostatic paste having a viscosity in the range of 500-6000 Pa⋅s at room temperature. Product compartment is then filled with the haemostatic paste through the top of the open container. Further, the valve is attached to the open end of the container and the container is reliably sealed by crimping the neck of the top of the container. Propellant compartment is filled under pressure with a suitable propellant through an opening in the propellant compartment.
