titleOfInvention Method of laser ablation of the pathological area of heart
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to cardiovascular surgery, and can be used to ablate the area of pathological excitation of the heart muscle. Introduce a spatially-controlled catheter into the inner region of the right or left atrium or ventricles of the heart through the femoral or subclavian vein under X-ray or MRI imaging. Perform spatial electrophysiological mapping of the internal surface of the heart to detect areas of arrhythmias with the help of an externally controlled tip of the catheter with an electrode. Conduct a contact measurement of the local electrical potentials of the heart muscle and electromagnetic irradiation of the area of pathological excitation of the cardiac muscle by electromagnetic radiation. As the electromagnetic radiation, laser radiation is used in the area of transparency of the heart tissue, corresponding to the near-IR range from 700 nm to 1350 nm. Radiation is introduced into a quartz optical light guide inserted into the spatially controlled catheter. Level of laser energy input is determined by the disappearance of a local area of abnormal electrical pulsations of the heart muscle. Continuous laser mode is used with a power at the exit end of the catheter of not more than 1 W or pulsed laser mode with an average optical power corresponding to a continuous mode. Duration of the laser pulse is no more than 10 nanoseconds with a duty cycle of at least ten. Irradiation time is not more than one minute. n EFFECT: method provides controlled suppression of local regions of self-excited myocytes with minimal damage to normal myocardial cells. n 1 cl, 6 dwg
