titleOfInvention Method of fixing the intraocular lens in eyes without capsular support when performing endovitrial interventions
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmosurgery. To fix the intraocular lens (IOL) in the eyes without capsular support with the anterolateral or pupillary IOL installed during endovitral interventions with a tamponade of the vitreal cavity by one of the vitreous substitutes (CT) when performing endovitral interventions before the tamponade of the vitreal cavity, an additional fixation of the IOL to the sclera with a needle thread is performed, which is carried out twice over the anterior surface of the IOL, retreating 1–2 mm from the edges of the optical zone. Thread is held in such a way that the two sections of the yarn fixing the IOL are parallel to each other. n EFFECT: method ensures preservation of balance of pressures in the anterior and posterior segments of the eye, the maximum swelling effect of CT substitutes, the preservation of an even spherical border of the meniscus, maintaining the normal depth of the anterior chamber during the operation and in the long-term period, prevention of migration of tamponizing substances into the anterior chamber and maintaining a stable central position of the IOL in the eye when the CM is replaced with a gas-air mixture. n 1 cl, 2 ex
