titleOfInvention Method for explantation of a donor organ for liver transplantation
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to liver surgery, and can be used to assess the functional reserves of the liver when deciding to withdraw it for the purpose of subsequent transplantation from donors with brain death. To do this, intravenous indocyanin green is administered at a rate of 0.5 mg per 1 kg of donor weight at least one hour before the blood flow stops or the organ is withdrawn. Then, after 15 minutes, the residual concentration of indocyanine green in blood (R 15 ). When the value of R 15 more than 6 % conclude liver unsuitable for transplantation. When value is less than 5 % – on the suitability of the donor organ for transplantation. If value is obtained in the range from 5 % to 6 % inclusive, the conclusion about the suitability of the donor organ for transplantation is made provided that the age of the donor is not older than 40 years, the time of cold ischemia is not more than 6 hours, and the body mass index is not more than 30. n EFFECT: method provides a rapid study of liver function of a potential donor with the death of the brain to make a decision about its possible use for transplantation, which causes a reduction in postoperative risks associated with the quality of the donor body. n 1 cl, 1 tbl, 4 dwg
