abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for reducing flammability and preventing self-ignition of organoaluminum compounds (OAC). To inhibit the combustion of self-inflammable triisobutylaluminum (TIBA), it is diluted with substances that reduce its combustibility in the liquid phase. As a flame retardant, increasing its autoignition temperature in the gas phase, use tetralin, or iso-propyl benzene, or diphenylmethane in the form of solvents having in their chemical structure the least strong bond of carbon with the hydrogen atom C-H. At the same time, these substances are used simultaneously as a TIBA phlegmatizer in the liquid phase, as well as a combustion inhibitor raising the self-ignition temperature in the gas phase. n EFFECT: use of an inhibitor raises the autoignition temperature and reduces the flammability of OAC, such as TIBA, which is most often used as a catalyst in the technological process of producing organic polymeric materials. n 2 cl, 2 tbl
