titleOfInvention Expanding ocular implant devices
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Ocular implant device contains: an expanding sheath having an expanding feature, designed to form an expanded and compact configuration, wherein the said at least one expandable feature extends from a proximal cuff and a distal cuff, and in which at least one of the proximal cuff and the distal cuff is designed to adapt to the ocular implant. Implant includes an elongated tubular body having an internal lumen. Internal lumen is a channel for the flow of aqueous humor through a tubular body directly from the front chamber in the direction of the suprachoroidal space. Internal lumen can be used as an access zone for attaching the tubular body to the delivery system, wherein the tubular body is designed to be implanted into the eye. At least one of the proximal cuff and the distal cuff is fixedly attached to the tubular body of the device, and the other of the proximal cuff and the distal cuff is movably attached to the tubular body of the device. Method of operation of the ocular implant device comprises the following steps: providing an expanding sheath, providing adaptation of the said expanding sheath to the said implant; and implanting the said implant and the expanding sheath into the eye. n EFFECT: application of this group of inventions will improve the decrease in intraocular pressure. n 23 cl, 20 dwg
