Expandable tissue thickness compensator |
abstract |
FIELD: medical equipment. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Tissue thickness compensator comprises a biocompatible material, a first component, and a second component. First component and the second component form the reaction product for expansion of the tissue thickness compensator. First component comprises a first hydrogel precursor, the second component comprises a second hydrogel precursor. Reaction product contains a hydrogel. Reaction product can be formed in vivo and/or in situ by contacting the first component and the second component. First component and/or second component is encapsulated and is configured to release components upon rupture. Reaction product contains a compound swelling in the liquid. n EFFECT: tissue thickness compensator is proposed. n 5 cl, 540 dwg |
