abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatrics, and concerns the early diagnosis of various forms of essential hypertension in children and adolescents. To do this, determine the concentration of nitric oxide in serum, endothelin-1 in plasma and serotonin in plasma and platelets. Obtained data is compared with the upper values of such indices in healthy children and on the basis of obtained ratios they diagnose a labile or stable form of arterial hypertension. n EFFECT: method provides reliable diagnosis of hypertension in children and adolescents at early stage of the disease and, accordingly, the possibility of its timely correction. n 1 cl, 8 dwg
