abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for producing benzene from alkyl aromatic hydrocarbons C 6- C 9 in two successive adiabatic thermal and catalytic reactors. The process is carried out successively in a thermal reactor of ideal displacement at a temperature of 700-750°C at a pressure of 4.1-4.5 MPa, and then in a catalytic one at a temperature of 580-595°C at a pressure of 4.1-4.5 MPa.
