abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of preparing a set of concentrated developer-regenerator for the automatic processing of X-ray photomaterials that ensures stability of the developer set properties for at least two years and at least 3.3 times the concentration of the solutions (i.e., the total volume of the concentrated solutions is not more than 6 l per 20 l of the working solution). The use of the present method allows to prepare a set of the concentrated developer, consisting of two parts - concentrated solutions - instead of the usual three ones. In the second part, together with developing and organic anti-veiling substances there is also glutaric-aldehyde tanning complex, which includes glutaric aldehyde, bisulphite or metabisulphite of alkali metal and sodium or potassium bisulfite derivative of glutaric aldehyde. The proposed method is presented in two main versions. According to the first version, the main developing substance is contained in the first part of the set of the concentrated developer-regenerator.
