abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: to eliminate the central fold of the retina after surgical treatment of extensive traumatic retinal detachment, endovitreal retinal puncture is performed around the fold area outside the macula. Balanced saline is injected subrationally until the retina detaches in this zone.
