titleOfInvention Method for posterior intraocular lens (iol) implantation and fixation in case of enophthalmos and narrow eye fissure
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: for implantation and fixation of posterior intraocular lens (IOL) in case of enophthalmos and narrow eye fissure, conjunctival flaps hold is formed at 3.00 and 9.00 hours, as well as a tunnel cut of 1.8-2.2 mm at 12.00 and paracentesis cuts at 3.00 and 9.00. Viscoelastic is injected into the anterior chamber of the eye. IOL is fixed to the sclera using haptical elements under the iris at 3.00 and 9.00 hours. Anterior vitreoectomy is conducted, hydraulic locks are formed on the incisions. The IOL is implanted with a standard injector, leaving one leg outside, fixing it with a needle with a thread, followed by insertion into the anterior chamber. The IOL is rotated by 180 degrees. The second non-fixed leg is taken out, fixed and inserted back into the anterior chamber. Next, the needles are inserted under the pupil at 3.00 and 9.00 hours, penetrating of the root of the iris and sclera. The needles are injected 1 mm away from the sulcus, threads are tightened, bringing the IOL legs to the root of the iris, intrascleral fixation is performed. n EFFECT: method allows to improve the quality of intraoperative manipulation, to reduce postoperative complications, to reduce the number of bed-days. n 5 cl, 3 ex, 1 dwg
