abstract FIELD: construction. n SUBSTANCE: implementation version of the present invention includes a settable composition containing ground non-expanded pearlite, pumicite, cement kiln dust, and water. Another implementation version of the present invention includes a settable composition containing ground non-expanded pearlite present in an amount of from about 1% to about 75% of the weight of the cementing components in the settable composition, the ground non-expanded pearlite having an average particle size from about 1 mcm to about 100 mcm, cement kiln dust, the ground mixture of cement and pumicite, and water. Another implementation version of the present invention includes a settable composition containing ground non-expanded pearlite present in an amount of from about 1% to about 75% of the weight of the cementing components in the settable composition, cement kiln dust, pumicite, and functional additives.
