abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: method of producing oxide catalysts of the composition: Mo 1 V a Te b Nb c Bi d O x , where a=0.20-0.40, b=0.15-0.35, c=0.05-0.25, d=0.005-0.07, x is the number of oxygen atoms required to maintain electroneutrality for the process of oxidative conversion of ethane in ethylene, includes the steps of preparing a wet precursor containing the MoVTeNb components contained in the catalyst, removing the solvent, stepwise calcining the dry MoVTeNb precursor, then impregnating the calcined precursor with a solution of the bismuth-containing compound and final heat treatment of the MoVTeNbBi precursor in an inert gas at a temperature of 500-600 °C.
