titleOfInvention | Blister-piercing element for dry powder inhalator |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: blister-piercing element comprises a body including two cutting teeth spaced apart and projecting upward from the surface and symmetrical with respect to a plane extending between the teeth perpendicular to the surface. Each cutting tooth protrudes in the form of a cantilever above the said opening and comprises a vertical portion extending from the surface adjacent to the first edge of the opening and a cantilever portion that extends from the upper end of the vertical portion towards the second edge of the opening. Each tooth further has a vertex located on the distal cutting edge and is configured to initially pierce the blister cover. The distal cutting edge extends from the top of each tooth in two different directions and at an angle to said surface. The first part of the distal cutting edge of each tooth extends from the top to the surface at an angle less than the angle at which the second portion of the distal cutting edge of each tooth extends from the top to the surface. This angle is formed with respect to the direction defined by the intersection of a plane parallel to the surface with a plane perpendicular to the surface. The distal cutting edge of each tooth is configured to create an initial slit in the blister coating originally pierced by the tip of each tooth. The secondary cutting edge is configured to erupt the original slot in the direction from the top along the cantilever portion to the edge of the blister cover from which this tooth protrudes upward, when pressure is applied by the teeth to the blister coating. The teeth are spaced from each other, so that continued penetration of the teeth into the blister cover causes spreading of the individual initial slots cut by the distal cutting edge of each tooth, between the teeth in a direction towards each other. An inhalation device with a blister piercing element is disclosed. n EFFECT: facilitated controlled piercing and ensured better gripping of powder. n 11 cl, 4 dwg |
