abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for producing a compound of the formula (I): n n n n or salt thereof, wherein W is Cl, Br or I; R is phenyl substituted with 0-5 substituents independently selected from halogen and C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy, and R 1 is C1-C 12 -alkyl or unsubstituted or substituted C 7 -C 11 -arylalkyl; comprising: (a) fluorinating a compound of the formula (II): n n n n where A 6 is halogen or R, a source of a fluoride ion to produce a compound of the formula (III): n n n n where B 6 is F or R; and converting a compound of the formula (III) to a compound of the formula (IV): n n n n (b) halogenating a compound of the formula (IV) with a halogen source to produce a compound of the formula (V): n n n n (c) condensing a compound of the formula (VI): n n n n where X is Cl, Br or I; A 2 is hydrogen or R 1 ; A 3 represents hydrogen or W; A 4 is Cl, F, NH 2 , NHCOCH 3 , or a protected amino group; A 5 is F or Cl; with a compound of the formula (VII): n , n where Met is Zn-halide, Zn-R, tri (C 1 -C 4 alkyl) tin, copper or B (OR 2 ) (OR 3 ), where R 2 and R 3 each independently is hydrogen, C 1 -C 4 alkyl or taken together form an ethylene or propylene group; in the presence of a catalyst based on transition metal to produce a compound the of the formula (VIII): n n n n where conversion (c) can be carried out before, between, or after transformations (a) and (b). n EFFECT: increased quality of output. n 17 cl, 29 ex
