abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method of producing 1',5',6',7'-tetrahydrospiro [cyclohexane-1,2'-[2H] cyclopentapyrimidine]-4'(3'H)-one, which can be used for synthesis of biologically active compounds, in particular a medicinal substance of ipidacrin, capable of regulating neuromuscular transmission. The method consists in condensing cyclohexanone in a solvent with adiponitrile according to the following scheme: .
