abstract FIELD: oil and gas industry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of modernising small tonnage oil refinery including an atmospheric distillation unit of hydrocarbon material. Method is characterised by that it comprises, step by step, with separate units, successively, or in parallel, or serial-parallel in conditions of continuous operation of enterprise, building additional units: unit which includes a section for raw material preparation and an atmospheric distillation section; wherein method comprises simultaneous reconstruction of existing atmospheric distillation unit or its disassembly; building a unit which includes a section for desulphurisation of straight-run diesel distillate for production of components of marine low-viscous fuel and a hydrofining section for straight-run petrol and diesel distillates for producing components of motor fuel with necessary environmental properties, and building a unit for production of hydrogen. n EFFECT: proposed method of modernising a small tonnage refinery increases output of components and engine fuel, quality indicators which satisfy TP TC 013/2011 requirements. n 6 cl, 4 dwg, 4 ex
