titleOfInvention Method of determining weight ratio of basic substance in sample of diethylene disulphide composition by potentiometric titration
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, in particular to determination of weight content of basic substance in a sample of a diethylene disulphide composition. Method comprises quantitative analysis of a diethylene disulphide sample by automatic potentiometric titration. Determination is based on results of chemical oxidation of sulphur atoms with oxygen, released during decomposition of bromide of a bromate solution in an acidic medium. Calculation of weight ratio (M d ) is performed by formula n n n n where: V is volume of 0.1 n working bromide of bromate solution, used for titration a weighed portion of diethylene disulphide, cm 3 ; K is a correction factor for titre of 0.1 n working bromide of bromate solution; 0.0030061 is amount of diethylene disulphid equivalent to 1 cm 3 0.1 n working bromide of bromate solution, g/cm 3 ; q is a weighed portion of analysed sample, g. Measurement result is arithmetic average of results of two parallel determinations, allowable divergence between which shall not exceed ± 1.0 %. n EFFECT: invention provides fast and accurate analysis of composition diethylene disulphide samples. n 1 cl, 2 tbl, 1 ex
