titleOfInvention | Hybrid polyester-polyether polyols for improved demold expansion in polyurethane rigid foams |
abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to simple polyester-polyether polyols used for producing polyurethane products. Described is a method of producing polyester-polyether polyols, involving mixing: 1) phthalic anhydride with an alcohol having a nominal functionality of 3 and a molecular weight of 90 to 500 under conditions to form a phthalic anhydride half-ester; and 2) alkoxylating half-ester formed in step 1) with propylene oxide to form a polyester-polyether polyol having a hydroxyl number of from 200 to 350, wherein alcohol is a polyether polyol containing oxypropylene links with molecular weight of 200-500. Also described is a polyester-polyether polyol, obtained using said method. Described is a polyol mixture for producing rigid polyurethane foam plastic, which contains 10 to 40 wt% said polyester-polyether polyol, and rest is at least one second polyol, where second polyol is polyether polyol, polyester polyol or combination thereof, having functionality of 2–8 and molecular weight of 100-2000. Also described is a reaction system for producing rigid polyurethane foam plastic containing said polyester-polyether polyol. Described is a method of producing rigid polyurethane foam plastic, which comprises: a) formation of a reaction mixture which contains at least 1) polyol component containing said polyester-polyether polyol or its mixture with at least one other polyol, provided that such mixture contains at least 10 wt% polyester-polyether polyol, 2) polyisocyanate, 3) at least one hydrocarbon, fluorohydrocarbon, chlorofluorohydrocarbon, fluorocarbon, dialkyl ester, hydrofluoroolefin (HFO), hydrochlorofluoroolefin (HCFO), fluoro-substituted dialkyl ester physical foaming agent; and b) treating reaction mixture in such conditions, that reaction mixture is foamed and cured to form a rigid polyurethane foam plastic. n EFFECT: technical result is obtained polyester-polyether polyols have good compatibility of hydrocarbons, and enable to form foam plastic with improved properties. n 8 cl, 6 tbl, 6 ex |
