abstract | FIELD: cosmetology. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cosmetic industry and represents a method for evaluating a cosmetic, to determine the process of moisturizing the stratum corneum, providing sufficient swelling for disintegration of the keratin structure and lamellar structure, and then drying the stratum corneum for reconstitution of the keratin structure and lamellar structure, wherein the change in thickness of the stratum corneum during the process of moisturizing and then drying the stratum corneum is used as an index and represents a change rate of thickness of the stratum corneum, which comprises the following steps: measuring thickness (A) of cells or a cell layer of stratum corneum, selected from the group, consisting of skin stratum corneum, isolated stratum corneum and a cultured stratum corneum sheet before applying cosmetics; measuring thickness (B) of cells or a cell layer in the moist state; measuring thickness (C) of cells or a cell layer in the dry state and calculating the change rate of thickness of the stratum corneum, during the process of moisturizing, and then drying the stratum corneum based on formula 1: Formula (1) Change rate of thickness of stratum corneum = (B-A)×100/A-(C-B)×100/C. n EFFECT: invention provides a method allowing the development of cosmetics that can promote beautiful healthy skin based on the knowledge. n 5 cl, 8 ex, 1 tbl, 9 dwg |
