titleOfInvention Method of treating keratoconus and tool for its implementation
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and is intended for the treatment of keratoconus. Tool for point deepithelialization is made in the form of bracket 1 with the working portion 2 in the form of horizontal plate 3, where through holes 4 are uniformly applied. Holes 4 are made with a diameter and the distance between them corresponding to the diameter of the "flying" laser spot. After a preliminary examination, including the measurement of the thickness of the epithelial layer as well as determination of the exact localization of the peak of keratoconus and keratometry values at the peak of the keratoconus and its base, under conditions of operating room under installation anesthesia on the surface of the eyeball perilimbally impose a ring-holder with guide runners in which place guiding 5 brackets 1 of tool thus installing a tool for spot deepithelialization. Then perform excimer laser ablation of the epithelial layer of the cornea using an excimer laser operating on the principle of "flying spot" through through holes 4. n EFFECT: group of inventions allows to provide a metered-dose excimer laser ablation of the epithelial layer of the cornea in accordance with the localization of the keratoconus and thickness of the epithelial layer of the cornea, not depending on individual keratometry parameters of the cornea, as well as individual properties of the user, that ensures the absence of influence of subjective factors on metered spot deepithelialization of the cornea. n 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex
