titleOfInvention | Method of immobilization of liquid containing tritium radioactive wastes |
abstract | FIELD: radiation. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of immobilization of liquid containing tritium radioactive wastes. Method consists in curing liquid tritium containing radioactive wastes in stable crystalline matrix, obtained by dehydration of crystalline hydrate of metal salt, removal of crystallisation water. At that, provided is crystalline hydrate addition to anhydrous liquid tritium containing wastes in amount of (by liquid), at 5-7 % larger than number of removed water, and mixing to produce new crystalline hydrates of metal salt. Crystalline hydrate of metal salt used is iron, copper or zinc sulphate. After formation of new crystalline hydrates they are crushed to fractions of 1-1.5 mm and used further as filler during preparation of mineral matrices (e.g., based on salt binder). n EFFECT: high environmental safety during long-term storage of liquid containing tritium radioactive wastes with simultaneous increase of degree of filling compounds liquid containing tritium radioactive wastes. n 5 cl, 4 ex |
