titleOfInvention | Polyurethane adhesive having low total combustion heat, and insulating panel assembled with such adhesives |
abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to polyurethane adhesives that have a low total heat of combustion, and to laminates, such as insulating panels, which are assembled with such adhesives. Described is a composition of polyurethane adhesive consisting of two parts, comprising: A) a polyisocyanate component that includes an aromatic polyisocyanate and B) a polyol component including B-1) from 20 to 75 % by weight, based on combined weights of components B-1) and B-2), of a polyether polyol or polyether polyol mixture, which polyether or polyether polyol mixture has an average of 2 to 4 hydroxyl groups per molecule and viscosity of up to 500 mPa·s at 25 °C, B-2) from 25 to 80 % by weight, based on combined weights of components B-1) and B-2), of an aromatic polyester diol, B-3) from 0.1 to 3 % by weight water, and B-4) from 0 to 15 % by weight of isocyanate-reactive components other than components B-1), B-2) and B-3), based on total weight of components B-1), B-2, B-3) and B-4) and 40-65 % by weight of particles of mineral filler, further provided that (i) component A), component B) or both contains at least one catalyst for reaction of isocyanate groups with hydroxyl group; (ii) aromatic polyester diol is a reaction product of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, aromatic dicarboxylic halide or aromatic dicarboxylic acid anhydride with diethylene glycol and a poly(ethylene glycol), has a hydroxyl equivalent weight of about 150 to about 250 and has a viscosity of not greater than 2,000 mPa·s at 25 °C; and (iii) component A), component B) or both may contain a particulate mineral filler, in an amount up to 65 % of combined weight of components A) and B). Also described is a aminate comprising a fibrous ceramic layer, a facing layer, and an adhesive layer interposed between fibrous ceramic layer and facing layer and forming an adhesive bond between fibrous ceramic and facing layer, wherein adhesive layer is a cured polyurethane prepared by mixing polyisocyanate component A) and polyol component B) of adhesive composition consisting of two parts as described above, applying resulting mixture between fibrous ceramic layer and facing layer, and curing mixture. n EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a polyurethane adhesive composition that provides superior adhesion with corresponding low viscosities even at high levels of filler. n 13 cl, 2 tbl |
