abstract | FIELD: measuring equipment. n SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for contactless measurement of moisture content of material with help of neutron radiation. Invention consists in that controlled material is irradiated with fast neutrons with energy of 2.5 MeV, fast neutron flow is measured during neutron pulses in gaps between neutron pulses recorded thermal neutrons, formed in controlled material, normalised number of registered fast neutron flux, moisture of controlled material is determined by comparing normalised values of recorded slow neutrons with values obtained from calibration measurements with test specimens. n EFFECT: technical result is high sensitivity of method of measuring moisture content of materials. n 1 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl |
