FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology and gene engineering. There are described genetically modified mice containing a nucleic acid sequence coding human M-CSF protein. There are also presented genetically modified mice containing a nucleic acid sequence coding human M-CSF protein, and carrying grafted human cells, such as haemopoietic human cells. There are also described methods for creating these mice with grafted cells. n EFFECT: mice find the range of applications, such as simulating human immune diseases and pathogenic infections; in screening in vivo the substances, which modulate development and/or activity of haemopoietic cells, eg normally or in pathology; in screening in vivo the substances, which are toxic for haemopoietic cells; in screening in vivo the substances, which prevent, reduce or eliminate effects of toxic substances on haemopoietic cells; in screening in vivo haemopoietic human cells taken from an individual in order to determine individual's treatment sensitivity. n 16 cl, 27 dwg, 3 ex |
