abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to dentistry, namely compositions for endodontic instruments used for root canal filling. The presented carrier composition for root canal filling contains 1% to 70% of a heat-curable material which is cis-1,4-polyisoprene, 1% to 75% of a radiopaque substance having an average particle size from approximately 0.25 mcm to approximately 10 mcm, and a curing agent. One of the versions of the composition contains 1% to 25% of cis-1,4-polyisoprene; a curing agent; 25% to 45% of a radiopaque substance having an average particle size from approximately 1.25 mcm to approximately 2 mcm; 0.05 wt % to 50 wt % of an excipient, and 0.5% to 15% of an elastomer, wherein cis-1,4-polyisoprene to elastomer ratio falls within the range from approximately 10:1 to approximately 1:1. Another version of the composition contains 5% to 45% of cis-1,4-polyisoprene; 0.1% to 30% of a curing agent; 10% to 50% of a radiopaque substance having an average particle size from approximately 1.25 mcm to approximately 2 mcm; 0.5% to 15% of an elastomer; and 1% to 15% of at least one of reinforcing excipients and reinforcing fibres; cis-1,4-polyisoprene to elastomer ratio ranges from approximately 10:1 to approximately 1:1. n EFFECT: formulation of the composition containing cis-1,4-polyisoprene provides producing a cross-linked carrier composition having a desired hardness in a combination with an post-heating ability to preserve its shape generally. n 24 cl, 2 ex, 11 dwg
