FIELD: process engineering. n SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to absorbing components of increased volume and to their fabrication. Absorbing components can be shaped to a single absorbing fibrous ply including some amount of cellulose fibres. Said single absorbing fibrous ply is at least partially stratified over the depth. Said absorbing components can include multiple discrete deformations on their surface such as recesses and/or apertures. Claimed process requires at least one cycle of mechanical deformation process. The latter exploits the first and second forming components that make the clearance for initial web is fed there through.
