abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry. Technical carbon is obtained in a reactor (100) comprising stream directing means (110), situated between a fuel burner (106) and an inlet opening (108) for feeding air, which alter its flow path. The stream directing means (110) are a set of ring cylinders or a set of ring truncated cones provided with partition walls, blades or are ribbed on their entire working length. The invention increases the output of technical carbon by 5-20%, stabilises the flame of the fuel burner (106), supports the flame along the axis of the reactor (100) and prolongs the service life of the refractory lining (114). n EFFECT: improved mixing of fuel and air in the combustion chamber (102) raises the temperature of combustion gases to 1000-2200°C, said gases reacting in the reaction chamber (104) with carbonaceous material to form technical carbon. n 4 cl, 7 dwg, 2 tbl, 2 ex
