titleOfInvention | System and method of detecting reference point |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. A field generator for application in a surgical guidance system, containing a mounting component and at least one coating, made above the mounting component. The mounting component contains elements, made with a possibility of including components of the electromagnetic field generator. The said elements are placed on the mounting component with observing mutual positions and orientation. In the process of the generator application mutual positions and orientations of the said elements remain essentially unchanged after being subjected to at least one sterilisation process. The method in which to the sterilisation process subjected is an identifier of a reference point, containing the mounting component, provided with a multitude of elements, made with a possibility of including induction coils of the electromagnetic field generator and placed on the said mounting component with the observation of mutual positions and orientation. Subjecting the reference point identifier to sterilisation in fact does not result in the change of mutual positions and orientation of the said multitude of elements. The method of creating the reference point identifier, in which the elements are manufactured with the observation of their position in the mounting component, containing the first dimensionally stable autoclavable material; electromagnetic induction coils are fixed with the observation of their orientation in the said elements; a through hole is made in the mounting component; a connecting element, provided with a through hole, aligned with the through hole of the mounting component in the process of fixation of the connecting element to the mounting component, is fixed to the mounting component, with the connecting component containing the second dimensionally stable autoclavable material; the mounting component and the electromagnetic induction coils are covered with the third autoclavable material. In case of necessity the fourth autoclavable material is applied above the outer surface of the third autoclavable material. n EFFECT: inventions provide an increased accuracy and reliability of guiding on reference points of medical implants. n 15 cl, 62 dwg |
