FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filler for inhibiting foaming, caused by presence of CO 2 , which includes particles of a hydrotalcite compound and particles of calcium hydroxide and/or magnesium hydroxide, use of the filler in synthetic resin and a shaped article made therefrom. The filler is obtained by incorporating particles of the hydrotalcite compound into the particles of calcium hydroxide and/or magnesium hydroxide such that their ratio ranges from 3:7 to 6:4, wherein the particles of the hydrotalcite compound have the formula (1): [(Mg 2+ ) y (M 1 2+ ) (1-y) ] 1-x M 3+ x (OH) 2 CO 3 2- x/2 •mH 2 O, where M 1 2+ is a divalent metal, M 3+ is at least one trivalent metal and x, y and m denote numerical values which satisfy the relationships 0<x<0.5; 0≤m<2 and 0<y≤1. n EFFECT: preventing foaming in a synthetic resin-based composition containing filler incorporated therein. n 14 cl, 6 tbl, 5 ex |
