titleOfInvention Method of extracting terbium (iii) from aqueous salt solutions
abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: terbium (III) cation floatation extraction process employs as the organic phase an isooctyl alcohol and as the surfactant-type collector - sodium dodecyl sulphate, in a concentration which corresponds to the stoichiometric reaction: Tb +3 +3NaDS=Tb(DS) 3 +3Na + , where Tb +3 is a terbium (III) cation, DS - is a dodecyl sulphate ion. Floatation extraction is carried out at pH=7.5-8.0 and ratio of the organic phase to the aqueous phase of 1/20-1/40. n EFFECT: high degree of extraction. n 2 dwg
