abstract FIELD: metallurgy. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, namely, to the method of processing in oxygen converter of low-siliceous vanadium-bearing molten metal. The method includes pouring of vanadium-bearing cast iron, loading of solid charge materials, addition of solid oxidizer, top or combined blowing with oxidizing gas, tapping of molten steel and vanadium slag. The vanadium-bearing molten metal is vanadium-bearing cast iron with the silicon and titanium concentration 0.01-0.10% of each. Oxygen devanadation is performed by flux-free monoprocess down to the content of carbon in metal 0.01-0.10% at the temperature of metal and slag at the end of blowing 1600-1700°C and the content in slag Fe tot. = 30-45% and CaO = 0.1-3.0%. The proposed solution allows to get standard low-phosphorous vanadium slag with high concentration of V 2 O 5 - 18-30%, more suitable for extraction from it pure vanadium pentoxide. n EFFECT: invention implementation allows to improve the qualitative characteristics of steel. n 5 cl, 2 tbl, 3 ex
