abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of the environment protection and can be used in purification of waste air in production of synthetic rubbers of emulsion polymerisation, in petrochemical and refining industry. In method for thermal purification of waste air from hydrocarbons by combustion together with natural gas in furnace of steam-generating boiler at temperature 900-1200°C waste air before supply to furnace is processed with water solution, containing 20-150 mg/dm 3 of anionic SAS, selected from the group of alkaline carboxylic acids with molecular weight 350-370, or mixture of said ASAS with cation-active CTSAS, selected from the group of quaternary ammonium salts, taken in ratio ASAS:CTSAS - 100:(10÷50) mg/dm 3 with volume ratio of water solution of said components to waste air 1:(4000÷40000). As water solution also used is waste water after separation of rubber by coagulation method or mixture of said water with water after rubber washing, composition of which contains required amount of said SAS for processing of air before its supply to thermal purification from hydrocarbons. n EFFECT: improvement of purification. n 1 tbl, 8 ex
