titleOfInvention Method for establishing necessity of prescribing or correcting antihypertensive therapy in patients with arterial hypertension by assessing diastolic myocardial stress
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: plasma pro-brain natriuretic peptide is measured. The 24-hour blood pressure monitoring is performed to determine daily mean diastolic blood pressures. A daily systolic blood pressure index and a systolic blood pressure area index are calculated; a diastolic myocardial stress (MSdiast) is calculated by formula. If the derived value is more than 140, an increase of MSdiast is diagnosed, and an antihypertensive therapy is prescribed or corrected. If the value is 140 or less, the diastolic myocardial stress is considered to be low, and the antihypertensive therapy is not required to be corrected. n EFFECT: method enables performing the early diagnosis of latent left ventricular diastolic impairment by detecting an increase of diastolic myocardial stress. n 2 ex
