abstract FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention discloses hydrophobic proppant and method of its obtaining. Hydrophobic proppant, characterised by the fact that it includes aggregated particles and coating resin, solidified on the surface of aggregated particles, coating resin contains hydrophobic resin and nanoparticles, which are evenly distributed in hydrophobic resin, nanoparticles constitute 5-60% relative to coating resin weight, and ratio of aggregated particles to coating resin by weight constitutes 60-95:3-30, with proppant having wetting angle θ in range 120° ≤ θ ≤ 180°. Method of obtaining hydrophobic proppant includes the following stages: (1) heating hydrophobic resin to melted condition, addition of nanoparticels, mixing for 30 min at 8000 rev/min and cooling to room temperature with obtaining coating resin, containing nanoparticles, evenly distributed in hydrophobic resin; (2) heating aggregated particles, addition of coating resin, obtained at stage (1), and silicon-organic finishing agent and mixing for 10-60 s for even covering surface of aggregated particles with coating resin; and (3) solidification of coating resin.
