abstract FIELD: process engineering. n SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to woodworking, particularly, to production of composite articles the components whereof are glued together at pressure. This process comprises glue application on at least one surface of every element, assembly of said elements to get a preset structure to be subjected to pressure in the press. In compliance with this process, amount of at least glue one applied component is adjusted. Unit for production of composite article comprises glue applicator, conveyor to carry said elements or their sets through said applicator, means to count of said elements fed through said applicator, control device programmed to control amount of said glue to be applied on glue applicator. Machine-readable carrier incorporates instructions for computer to adjust the amount of at least one component of glue to be applied on said elements. n EFFECT: decreased consumption of glue. n 13 cl, 1 dwg
