abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring total blood thyroxin, conducting spinal X-ray osteodensitometry and spirometry, and measuring mineral bone density at the lumbar level of L2-L3, and maximal expiratory flow at 25% and 50% of respiratory function. The obtained data are used to calculate F by formula F=25.1-0.14×a 1 -15.7×a 2 +0.42×a 3 -0.034×a 4 , wherein 25.1 is a constant; 0.14; 15.7; 0.42; 0.034 are discriminant coefficients; a 1, 2, … , 4 are numerical values of the conducted examination; a 1 is the total thyroxin concentration, nmol/l; a 2 is a bone L2-L3 density coefficient; a 3 is the maximal expiratory flow at 25% according to respiratory function, %; a 4 is the maximal expiratory flow at 50% according to respiratory function, %. If F is equal to or more than the constant, the patient is stated to have no signs of health situations specific for this type of industry; if F is less than the constant, the patient is referred to a risk group of health situations. n EFFECT: method enables detecting the incipient signs of health situations in workers. n 1 tbl, 3 ex
