abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: blood is sampled, acidified to pH 2-3 with aqueous oxalic acid, extracted in toluene for 5 min; the prepared extract is centrifuged for 60 min at 7,000 rpm, added with sodium sulphate to dewater and acetylated for 3 hours by introducing trifluoroacetic anhydride while stirring continuously in the pyridine medium.
