titleOfInvention | Method of evaluating methanol impact on immune status of chemical industry workers |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: carried out are: sampling of venous blood from workers, determination of a factual content of methanol in it and laboratory immunological indices, intracellular markers of apoptosis: bax protein and bcl2 protein. After the determination in a blood sample of the factual content of methanol its comparison with a value of the background concentration is carried out by the determination of a coefficient, equal to their ratio: C1/C2, where C1 is the factual content of methanol in blood; C2 is the background concentration of methanol; then a criterion coefficient, equal to the ratio of the claimed bax/bcl2, is calculated. Then an informational index of cellular death is calculated by formula: E ⌢ = b a x b c l 2 × C 1 C 2 . n If the value of the said index of cellular death is higher than 6 and simultaneously the content of methanol in blood is higher than its background concentration, the condition of immune status of a chemical industry worker as a result of methanol impact is evaluated as immunodeficient. n EFFECT: application of the said index of cellular death makes it possible to determine the value of an unfavourable effect of methanol on apoptosis both at the individual and at the population level, as well as makes it possible to take decision about immunocorrection at early stages of the process. n 2 tbl, 2 ex |
