abstract FIELD: food industry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the farm industry and may be used for animals and birds feeding. The animals and birds feeding method consists in a biologically active additive introduction into the ration. The biologically active additive is represented by a concentrated extract of amaranth produced by way of water-alcohol extraction with the subsequent evaporation of alcohol. The concentrated amaranth extract contains the following components: dry substance - 10-15%, mineral substances - 0.7-1.2%, soluble protein - 0.15-0.19, soluble pectin - 1%, flavonoids - 0.15-0.17%, vitamin E - 0.6-0.7%, vitamin A - 90-100 ME and has the total antioxidant activity no less than 100 mg of rutin/100 cm 3 . n EFFECT: invention implementation allows reducing expenditures due to usage of a cheaper growth biostimulator as well as ensures the organism defences strengthening and enhancement of natural resistance of animals and birds. n 9 tbl, 5 ex
