abstract FIELD: physics, nuclear. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear technologies, in particular to safety devices used for reload of irradiated heat-generating nuclear reactor assemblies of the reactor VVER-1000 from transport covers into covers of the storage, and is intended for use in water-filled storages of spent nuclear fuel. The container for storage of spills of tablets of spent nuclear fuel contains a hexahedral housing identical with hexahedral cross-section of irradiated heat-generating nuclear reactor assemblies. In the upper part to the housing a bottom with neck is connected, and to the bottom part - a conical bottom. On the neck the fixable cover is placed, the upper part of which along the external outline is identical to the head of irradiated heat-generating nuclear reactor assemblies, and the distance between end faces of the bottom part of the insert and upper part of the cover is equal to the height of irradiated heat-generating nuclear reactor assemblies. Inside the housing an upper part of hollow cylindrical insert with plugged upper end face and with holes excluding the penetration of tablets into the hollow of the insert where the grid is placed. The cover has labyrinth seal. The cover on the neck is fixed using the bayonet coupling. n EFFECT: possibility of storage of spills of tablets both in wet, and in dry storage without their reload using the standard appliances. n 5 cl, 2 dwg
