titleOfInvention Cardiac segmentation in rest and load heart imaging
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to methods and systems for imaging. A first isotope radioactive tracer is injected into a rest patient. After a first period of absorption, the patient is loaded, and a second isotope radioactive tracer is injected. After a period of absorption of the second isotope radioactive tracer, the first and second data of isotope imaging are simultaneously detected by data receivers. The first and second data of the isotope imaging are reconstructed into the first image, or the rest image, the second image, or the load image, and optionally into the combined first and second isotope image. The image having a better image statistics is segmented to generate segmentation parameters; these segmentation parameters are applied to the first image, or the rest image, and to the second image, or the load image. Consequently, the image having the statistics that might be too low for precise segmentation, is segmented by two substantially aligned images and applying the same segmentation parameters to both of them. The system is configured to implement the method for imaging. n EFFECT: using the invention provides aligning the images corresponding to various isotopes/radioactive tracers, as well as an improved capacity for the patients. n 15 cl, 2 dwg
