titleOfInvention | Method for gastrointestinal amino acid absorption testing |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: blood is examined after an amino acid mixture is administered for the purpose of conducting an amino acid test. Total fasting calculated blood amino acid nitrogen is measured in the morning; that is followed by oral administration of 100.0 ml of the amino acid solution transported by one of the absorption paths with the known solution concentration and the amino acid nitrogen content. Thereafter, 30 and 50 min later, a circulating blood volume, a packed cell volume and total calculated amino acid nitrogen are measured; that is followed by measuring a blood sample having maximum residual nitrogen for an amino acid absorption coefficient, and if the amino acid absorption coefficient is <0.9, lower gastrointestinal amino acid absorption is diagnosed. n EFFECT: more reliable assessment of the gastrointestinal amino acid absorption taking into account the transport absorption path. n 1 ex |
