abstract | FIELD: chemistry. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. The method comprises collecting soil samples, adding metsulfuron-methyl (MSM) to the sample in a given amount, followed by incubation and determining specific metabolic activity of the saprophytic soil complex by multisubstrate testing and counting the number of colony-forming units on a diluted agarised medium.
