titleOfInvention Method of plasty of extraocular muscles with enhancement by compression method
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: conjunctival cut is made. The extraocular rectus muscle is isolated for enhancement. A section of the said muscle, subjected to plasty, is separated. After that marking of a value of the muscle shortening by 1 mm larger than the calculated one is performed. After that, the muscle tendons at the place of its attachment are fixed with knots, threads from which are passed along the line of an attachment from the muscle edges to the middle of the tendon. From the middle of the tendon the muscle is sewn with zigzag stitches to the mark of shortening. Threads are brought out through the muscle edges. After that both threads are tightened towards an attachment place. The muscle contracts with formation of a 1 mm long compression section. Both threads are tied with initial knots on edges the of muscles near the place of its attachment. n EFFECT: method ensures preservation of the muscle architectonics, their morphofunctional and anatomo-topographic characteristics, provides reliable fixation of compression section, uniformity of its length along the entire line of an attachment, which excludes the formation of thickening under the conjunctiva near the limb and the muscle deformation with elimination of an impact on the sclera. n 2 ex
