titleOfInvention | Method for assessing sensitivity of vascular endothelium to shear stress |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: method implies as follows: blood nitrites and endothelin are determined prior to and after an occlusion test. The sensitivity of the vascular endothelium to shear stress is determined by the coefficient index(e) calculated by formula. If the coefficient index(e) is 0.5 or less, the sensitivity of the vascular endothelium to shear stress is considered to be low, while the value index(e) of more than 0.5 shows the normal sensitivity value. n EFFECT: method enables assessing the actual ratio of vasoactive factors produced by the vascular endothelium accompanying shear stress variations that enables assessing the clinical effectiveness in patients suffering from a vascular pathology immediately in the course of treatment. n 3 ex |
