titleOfInvention | Device to remove mox-fuel precipitate from electrolytic cell cathode |
abstract | FIELD: process engineering. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device designed to remove MOX-fuel sediment from electrolytic cell cathode and can be used in radiochemical production for fabrication of mixed uranium-plutonium fuel (MOX-fuel) suitable for fuel elements of nuclear power station fast reactors. Proposed device comprises support plate with portable cylindrical container arranged at its centre. Guide cores are fitted outside said container while MOX-fuel sediment destructors are arranged in opposition at support plate edges. Feeders of liquid nitrogen or its vapour jets to said container are arranged perpendicular thereto. Note here that said container is equipped with two-flap bottom and liquid nitrogen or its vapour jets intake pipes. Every said feeder is composed by casing furnished with nozzles and communicated with liquid nitrogen source. n EFFECT: higher efficiency of irradiated nuclear fuel recovery, decreased non-productive outlays, ruled out losses of MOX-fuel. n 4 dwg |
